Who is Suitable Transport?

The effectiveness of this project will be determined largely by the tenacity of Suitable Transport’s key players. The following key people make up Suitable Transport so far:

Stephen Gale, Rider and Creator

Stephen Gale is an ex RAAF electronic engineer who has worked in the field of solar power generation and other industries for the last decade. His prime focus is the design of control electronics but he has also worked professionally as a university lecturer, photographer and a musician.

He is the director of Elektrika Pty Ltd, an electronic engineering consultancy, and is currently enrolled at RMIT doing research in the field of Solar Energy for his PhD. Stephen’s company has a high performance light aircraft which Stephen pilots to remote locations for various maintenance and R&D activities.

Stephen's other very suitable related projects include the development and manufacture of a very low cost solar tracking system for concentrator based solar power generation, and the conversion of his Maxda MX5 to run from E85 Ethanol Fuel.

Samantha Bell - Strategist

Sam is an experienced Project Manager and business consultant who has consulted for the likes of Halifax Bank of Scotland, Alcoa Inc. New York, Australia Post and ANZ. She is very experienced in quickly forming strong concepts and skilfully turning them into reality.

Sam has kindly offered her excellent organisational management skills to the Suitable Transport project, to help ensure that it is not only a successful event, but its longer term goals of changing public behaviour are met.

She is focused on creating and implementing sustainable practices for companies.

Sam even has her own veggie garden, and has just had her bike fixed.

Christian Cordeaux - Film Director

Christian is a film director who has recently directed Australian documentaries including 'Joy', 'The Soul Benefit Show', and commercial works for SAAB. Like other successful directors, he has performed the roles of camera, camera assistant, continuity, researcher and writer.

In a recent former life, Christian lived in Norway. For a couple of years he hosted a Oslo radio program "The International Show", acted in various films and stage productions with assorted unpronounceable names, all the while dreaming of a future life in warmer climates. His voice over talents were frequently utilized in Norway, however he is still waiting for his big voice over gig in Australia.

Christian's remarkable previous occupations include taste testing of artificial flavors, and sorting Salmonella infected containers of Gravelaux and Nutella.
