Day 6- Eden to Narooma, Saturday 21 April 2007
After whatever Friday night in Eden holds, our riders will collect their shattered bodies, don their lawyers wigs, sea captains stripes and assorted corporate regalia and head North for Narooma. Rather than take the inland highway 1 route, we will follow the coast and pass through the Merimbula, Tathra and Bermagui. On the way we will see the spectacular Ben Boyd, Bourunda, Mimosa and Wallaga Lake National Parks.

The total distance will be approximately 139 Km, which is likely to take 6:35 hours of riding time. This day will challenge the metal (and bottoms) of the riders, however there is many excellent places to rest and remarkable sights to see.
Although the altitude of the hills is not remarkable (only 500 feet maximum), there are some serious gradients to contend with (up to 9%) and the batteries will cop a beating. However with carefully planning we will ensure there is sufficient charged batteries, and no-one will be getting too hot and bothered.
Altitude (feet) vs Distance from Eden (km)

We will be staying at Narooma's best location, the Amooran serviced appartments. They are "off highway and only 150 metres from Narooma Golf Club. Close to shops, restaurants, beaches, fishing, golf, bowls, charter boats and heated indoor olympic pool." Just the ticket!

Possible dinner venue: "Narooma Sporting and Services Club: twice the clubs, twice the facilities, twice the food, twice the entertainment, twice the enjoyment. Top of the town buffet where quality and value are one in the same. Please note: slight variation in menu items may occur". How does one find such word smiths (and models)?
